object preview box in AC 10?

Hello fellow AC users, I have a few friends on AC 10...and well they couldn't find the preview box? where can this be found and/or how to activate/enable it....if it were possible?

Thanks!

Oh yeah I'll attach an image that will describe what I'm talking about better....just in case I have used wrong terms or something. Take note: The first image is from AC 9..the second on AC 10...and my buddies are wondering where could they find the same thing in AC 10?....because it seems not to be appearing....and they have already tried reinstalling AC 10.

Had it happen in freshly installed 9.

XP not updated - keep the auto update on, unless you know EXACTLY what are you doing when updating manually ...

Mostly happens on lower specs machines, with not enough RAM.
Well I'll be darned...so it has to do with the OS. Better advise my buddies to update their XP's.

Thank you guys for the inputs!

3 hours to fix it!

BTW, it also affect some other items like the ToolBox Palette and certain drop-down menus in the Work Environment.

Good luck,
If those hours were billable it would make a nice down payment on a new Mac

Sorry I couldn't resist - I still mourn all the hours I have lost installing, maintaining, fixing and reinstalling Windows. At least now I get to do it on a sleek aluminum laptop.

That's funny because I was citing the virtues of the Mac to my boss the whole time I was fixing this Windows box. It was his Windows box. 😉

But, hey...on the flip side I did help convince my AC reseller to get a Mac Book Pro. Of course he's in the perfect situation to have a dual OS machine for demonstrating AC.

It does seem like a natural choice for AC resellers (or anyone who has to present, train, etc on both platforms).

As much as I liked my old ThinkPads, I have to say that this is the nicest Windows machine I have ever used.
