opening an old archiCAD file

howdy

i am trying to open an old plan file.. which.. i believe.. was created using archiCAD v5

i have downloaded the appropriate file convertor from here: http://www.graphisoft.com/support/archicad/downloads/Fileconverter.html ... mounted the .dmg file and moved the archicad v7 folder to my apps folder.. HOWEVER.... every time i try and launch the app i get the following: "the document Archicad 7 could not be opened because it is damaged or incomplete"

i am on a mac using 10.6.8

any help / insight would be greatly appreciated
