project origin

howdy

i am trying to relocate a drawing that was imported from a dwg file to the project origin

i have read the following:

and done what it suggested

i cannot however seem to be able to delete the user origin.... i go thru the steps... delete the hotspot where the user origin is... but cannot for the life of me delete the user origin

any help would be greatly appreciated

You should be able to relocate the user/local origin by getting a checkmark with your cursor somewhere and then Alt/Option +shift to reset it to this point.

The global origin never moves.

Or you can just double click the Set User Origin button in the Standard Toolbar to relocate the User Origin to the Project Origin.

That support article is very old. The method of deleting the user origin (as if it were a hotspot) to return it to the project origin was changed to the current method a long time ago (version 6 or 7 I think).
