Zobi,
First one decides how accurate and parametric what you are creating needs to be.
One option is to make 2 trusses, the first that is just the chords and the second which is just the web members and then put them together. Not parametric, and you may have to play with the heights, but it could be could be an appropriate solution. Further work using SEO, solid element operations, could result in even more accurate results. All of this is just a minute or two of work.
If you know some GDL, or are willing to learn, take a look at the beginning GDL pdf that came on your ArchiCAD installation disc. It was written by David Nicholson-Cole, our GDL Evangelist. His book, appropriately named the GDL Cookbook, remains our GDL bible. Available through your reseller, objectsonline and possibly amazon.com.
I mention GDL because if you use different pens to create the webs and chords, you can 'clean up' the script and edit it to make the chords and webs different sizes. Different pens is a quick way to help you identify the different parts of the truss.
Another option is to make the whole truss from a slab(s). Again, it won't be parametric, but this might be
good enough
for what you want to use it for.
Be creative.
Think about how the truss will be made in real life and recreate it in as many ways as you can using the various tools in archicad and see which works best for this solution. The learning process will be beneficial for the next 'how do I make' stumper.
Have fun while you work!
