wall priority question

Hi Guys,
I've fiddled with wall priorities but can't figure this one out. I don't want the bigger wall to sharpen to a point. I don't want the bigger wall to change at all actually, just for the smaller one to connect.
Could someone look at the attached pics and lemme know what they think?

Making walls automatically connect overlooks certain perverse [present company excepted] arrangements.

As long as the hotspot wall nodes don't touch, there will be no automatic join/merge. These are the draw line nodes along what we used to call the "hot line" [versus the outrigger], easily seen by activating wall and Beam Reference lines in your On Screen View Options.

While you'd want to carefully consider actual finish materials joining the two walls, consider using the wall end tool on your thicker wall, or a combination of walls and the Polygonal wall tool to create a plug to express the correct material wrap.

If they are in different layers you can adjust the layer intersection number to be different for each layer and they will not trim.
You need to set this for each layer combination where it is important for them not to trim.

If they are in the same layer then you can set the layer intersection number to zero (0) and they will not trim - but neither will other walls in that layer.

Or move the reference line of the thick wall to the other side (Design > Modify Wall > Reference Line...)
Pull the end of the thin wall away from the thick wall.
While the thin wall is selected and the wall tool is active, CTRL-click on the non-reference side of the thick wall.
The walls will touch but not trim.

If you want the walls to overlap then draw a line where you want the thin wall to stop and CTRL-click to that as above and delete the line afterwards.

Cheers for the replies.
I used a combination of your suggestions. I modified skin priorities in the minor wall and reconnected just along the length of the major, avoiding the hotspot, sorted.
