where so many mb for tb?

i don't understand why the simple titleblock drawing file is 5mb. I have purged almost everything from the file and still it doesn't quite any diff.
It is drawn full size for 11x17 and 24x36 paper size but still i can't understand why that size- almost the size of a project.

any idea why?

Maybe there is some image in the file. That can increase its size markedly.

have you purged all the extra layers. fills, composites, line types, layer sets, materials? if not go to Attributes Manager and purge away.
