window ganging

I've run into a probelm with ganging using the AC standard windows. I have a group of five casement window ganged together. The three in the center are rectangular but the outer two both have angled tops.

I can get five casements put in and looking good but to create the angled top units, I have to switch to a "special window" and that doesn't support the ganging to the side (only to the bottom, what's up with that???) so the casing gets all screwed up.

It seems my options are:

1. some sort of complicated custom creation of casing, sills, etc. (No way)
2. Purchase one of the add-ons?

Any suggestions?? Help!!

That is the main reason we purchased Door&Window Builder. I think AC should do whatever doors/windows we want right out of the box, but this is the current solution, as far as I know.

Thanks for the reponse - I am still relatively new to AC and generally like it but I now understand others frustration about the need to buy add-ons to do basic functions.

And soon you will understand our frustration at having to endlessly update (and pay for) our add-ons every time a new version of AC comes along.

This is the main reason I have not dived into AC11: I'm dependent on half the Cadimage product line and it's quite an expense to update it all --especially when you consider that all you are paying for is AC11 compatibility, and NO NEW FUNCTIONALITY in the add-ons.

Cadimage does have some very good products. In all fairness to them, we went a number of years before having to purchase an update (new releases were free to download until 11). I hope this will continue.
