Is there an easy way to work in 9 on a project that contains library parts from 7 & 8 without loading those libraries? Seems that I have read a post somewhere, but can't find it.
I am trying to place houses on a site plan done in 9. Some houses were done in 7, some in 8. Do I have to load the appropriate version of the libraries to get the houses to render properly, or is there a way to do global substitution?
The project load time is exhausting when all three libraries are loaded.
Thanks

Rip,
try loading those libraries and making an archive file of the building. You can then extract the library of this file - it will be pared down to only the parts you're using. That should load faster.
The one caveat will be Macros called from the older parts. If they don't show up, you'll have to add the macros to your library manually.
