Attribute Manager doesn't work with Pens and Colors attributes

I can't get Attribute Manager to work with Pens and Colors attributes. I can get it to work with other attributes, but the little page export icon is greyed out when I select Pens and Colors

In the Attribute Manager, did you select the Pen Set in the upper half of the left pane, and use the "Append", "By Index" or "By Name" buttons to copy it to the right pane? Then, the Export button will become enabled.

I must have been confused by the interface. I eventually got it to work, although I'm not exactly sure what I was doing wrong. Thank you for your response.
