Custom properties not available for MEP elements?

I have modelled a simple MEP model with Ducts. Now I would like to add some custom properties (using property manager) to these elements. Although their classifications are available, I can not find the properties of MEP ducts to us in an expression for example.

 

Isn't this possible or am I missing something?
