Edit Selection set.

Need some help with this command. I select a number of entities, all different kinds like circles, text, lines, etc. They are on different layers. I want to put them all on the same layer with one command.

When I select them, I use the little hammer on the info box and see all the different entities included in the selection set. All very nice.
I change the layer to the one I want. Some things change, others don't.

It would seem to me there would be some clever way to select each element in the selection set dialogue box and change each element's layer that way, but that doesn't seem to do it.

How can I change them all at once?

That should do it. Unless some elements/layers are locked? The other consideration: If the layer you want to switch to is shown when you open the dialog, OK'ing that doesn't do anything. You have to switch it to some alternate layer, then switch it back (Like any attribute in a settings dialog).

This can also happen if some of your selections are part of a group. You will need to suspend groups.
