Key improvements needed for modules.
- Direct edit of modules in place.
- Fix labels positioning problems in mirtored/flipped modules.
- make it optional to add the embedded library to the .mod files (prefer not to add) or filter out embedded libs if they already exist in host.
- Make it possible to schedule the Module. Not just components of it. (I want to schedule which bathroom type goes into which apartment type)
- Make it possible to schedule and label mirrored modules.
- Modules currently remember their source storey. Bad idea, if I want to insert a new storey between 2 existing negative module storeys. Solution needed so a new storey does not mess up the placement of all modules.
- Option to Not list .mod files as openeable projects in Archicad Start-up window.
That's it in one breath.

i would add: ability to color override entire modules and/or opacity value. Sometimes you just want to see everything color coded... without GOs

I just GO via the Master Hotlink Layer for colouring entire modules.

... or specific modules, because their name can be filtered in graphic overrides. Even part of the names - if you want only apartments colored one way, but shops in another, for example, you can filter modules by their name - "contains = apartment".

Hi,
i would add: have the choice to set relative path for Hotline modules like it is possible for external placed drawings.

@BrunoH ,
Good suggestion. It would definitely help, but only if GS does not give us the ability to in place modules editing.
I think that in place modules would mean that there are no .mod files saved, so the file path issue would by default go away.
Think about it: we already have design options. Does that require files saved anywhere? No. Then why could modules not work the same way????

Smart workaround, but still is just a workaround and not a solution.
With your method you need to double handle modules to start with. You give the mods specific names, plus you create specific master layers, plus you create specific layer combos, then you create GOs...
And after all these efforts, you still can't make a schedule that lists which bathroom type applies to which apartment, let alone trying to list which modules are mirrored.
Ah yes, I do have a workaround for all of the above, but I don't even want to explain it here, because it is a workaround, not a solution. 🙂

Yeah, I have only ever used it to split different buildings or stages to retain context in drawings.

Thanks @Lingwisyer that would be the current way to go as of today. I edited the post to express it
