Translators from External File - Type Mapping does not come through

I have developed our companies ideal IFC Translator for Export, so I attempted to transfer it to our template file. When I select "Import Translators from external file", everything appears to function correctly - I can see the translators available for bringing into my template file, and after I select the appropriate one and select "open", I can see and select the Conversion Presets from that other file.

The issue comes when I go to inspect the Type Mapping that was just brought over from the other file: the "Source Classification System" is listed as "(Unavailable)", and after I pick the appropriate classification system, none of the elements are mapped (they are all blue, so set to "by Parent"). See image.

I get the same result if I import the Type Mapping preset only, in lieu of importing the entire translator. Any ideas? Thanks!
