co-ordinate data

Hi all,
can anyone help me locate the thread/tip on entering data into the co-ordinate. I stumbled across this tip/trick late last year and for the life of me I can not fine it now. I mean the function for offsetting in the co-ordinates dialogue box by entering a typed distance from x,y or r.
for example coping an object/line from a point x,y to another point "x" "+" "4000".
Thanks
Brendon

In metric: x4000+ enter

In Imperial: x22-0+ enter

Thanks Djordje.

realised 2 minutes after posting the post that I was entering the = symbol instead of the + after the data input. Dam shift key.
