interior elevation marker

am having trouble changing the layer of my interior elevation markers.
The layers are not locked or anything. I select a new layer and press ok but it just reverts back to the original layer. Any suggestions?

Howdy neighbour!
You can't change the layer of the marker.
You have to select the elevation limit and change the layer of that.
With a group of interior elevations they will all change as one.
