When pasting elements from layers that don't exist, Archicad seems to create new layers for those elements. When pasting elements that are on hidden or locked layers, Archicad gives you the option to either place those elements on the Archicad layer or show or unlock the original layer. I would like the ability to direct what layers pasted elements will be "transferred" to. The most critical issue is when additional layers are added. I have developed a template that the office is starting to use, but whenever information is brought in from previous drawings, new layers are added to the drawing. How have others dealt with this issue? Thanks in advance for any advice. Perhaps we need a "paste special" added to the wish list to allow more control of pasted elements.
