Can't get BIM set up, may relate to Verizon modem

I have been trying to complete the BIM set up for a couple of weeks now to no avail, very frustrating.

Went through initial set up with Nick at Graphisoft, then the issue seemed to be getting the ports open on my Verizon modem. Verizon now tells me ports 15001, 15002 & 15005 are open, but Nick says he can't "ping" them. Also tried to "share" a project with another user, but they could not "get in" either.

I don't know what to do at this point. "Thank You" to all in advance.

Try using LogMeIn Hamachi to bypass all the port configuration settings. They have a free account that you can use to test your setup and the configuration steps are easier than trying to set up the BIm Server ports.

Eduardo...I have downloaded and installed "LogMeIn"...how do I use it?

You need to go to the LogMeIn website, setup a network and invite computers to the service. If I remember correctly the computers need to accept an invitation from you.

Eduardo...I just spoke with LogMeIn and the support guy said that LogMeIn DOES NOT interface with my BIM software, but provides access to my entire computer. So, if LogMeIn does not allow someone to interface with my BIM set up, then I can't use any of the features of BIM, like assigning Users & drawings, ect. Eduardo, am I missing something here, how are you using it with the BIM set up?

Once you have the computers connected BimS will work as a local connection. You don't need to setup ports etc.

You will control users etc the same as if they were in the same room together using the local tools.

LogMeIn does not need to interface with BimS it will create a "separate" nework with the computers that you give access to (they need to connect using the logmenin software) and for all intents they will see each other as if they are connected in the same room. LogMeIn will handle all the network settings to keep the connections.

I'm a one person office...one computer with all of my business & personal stuff on it, including AC15 & BIM. How do I provide access to a specific BIM drawing (like a site plan) on a specific file without providing access to my entire computer? Thank you for your patience on this.
