File and BIM server on same machine?

I am just planing to improve my AC based office,
big jobs are finally arrived (tnx God)
so we will move to TW2 and 64bit AC
and we are planing to add file server to our office network.

So, is it ok to have file server and BIM server on same machine?

We are small office,
up to 5 people working at a time, usually less

There are a lot of variables to think about re. this question:
-will the server be running exchange as well as file sharing? (Exchange is a lot more demanding than just sharing files)
-will the server be doing print server duties? (Big print jobs routing through this machine may affect network)
-what sizes of files are you using? (see following comments)

My (limited) understanding of TW2 is that it opens a TW2 file (1+x) times, where x=number of concurrent users. I.e. if all 5 of you are doing TW2 files that is the equivalent of 6+ files open. Its not quite the same as regular AC as its not processing 3D views or anything - rather TW2 is monitoring who has what and compiling all changes back into the main file (this is all invisible to us though).
In short the resources required can get big quickly. Maybe give it a go and see what happens? In 14 they updated the Control Centre so one can monitor resources - which will be a great tool for you to see if the resources are maxing out - and you can do it all from your desktop....
If you do, let us know how it works out! 😉
