File refuses to teamwork

Hoping for a quick fix.....fingers crossed.
We have a file for a job (230MB) that was originally teamworked but eventually saved just as a standard pln. Now we need to teamwork it again and it refuses. The only message we get is basically from memory 'file could not be teamworked - error writing file'. We have saved it as another file, removed all libraies etc (though we couldn't remove some old embedded object for some reason) but no help. We can do it for any other file, just not this one..Also on MAC and PC...Any ideas? If you need more info, I'll be back in the office in the morning to confirm the error message. cheerd

Have you tried sharing it from a different computer?

Cheers,

Not sure if this helps but I have had teamwork files that won't share if they have characters like - in the name. It seems to be fussy if you use anything other then a,b,c or 1,2,3 etc.

Wokka,

Just a thought. It is not having the Issue due to the file that you originally save from to make the PLN is still residing on the BIM Server

Shouldn't be a problem as the file has been renamed several times since then.

Even so, have you tried making a copy of it in the OS? It may be an internal AC glitch?

And who is sharing it? Maybe they don't have the privileges or their user profile is corrupt somehow?

Cheers,
Link.

I've taken it home and resaved it to a new name, put it back on the server, in another directory and tried that.
Several different people (including the site admin.) have tested by opening an empty file and saving as a teamwork file, them opening this file and trying it. No luck. Thanks for trying guys! We even tried saving as a R13 and back to 14....

Have you tried simplifying the location of the file and the name so that it does not exceeds 27 letters?

There used to be a bug when either linking Xref or Mods that if the total amount of "letters" either in the file name or in a particular folder were it resides exceeded the old Mac OS maximum of 27 letters it would not be able to link to it.

I know that it is a long shot but it might be worth a try.

Also, have you tried to hotlink the file to another AC file to see if the error is the file or in TW?
