Anybody seen or hear of the possibility to use ArchiCAD model in a 3D printer usually via .stn-file???

I've never heard of anyone doing it, and i'm not sure that it is in fact possible to do directly from AC.

It is possible to export the AC model to a 3D AutoCAD or similar, such as Autodesks Inventor software, which can then be used with a 3D printer.

They look kind of Lego-like, don't they?

Not sure how fine they get, Tom, as I haven't used the service. My reseller, Digital Vision sent this out. I was glad to hear of the service as it also demonstrates that ArchiCAD is getting to be enough of a presence to start attracting these kinds of 3rd party adaptations.

Sorry lost Digital Vision's tag line when I copied previously:

rather than having the entire model made this way. It would probably make a better model to just order parts you could attach to your own scale models. Windows, doors, moldings, stone work, etc...

Some dental labs and now use 3D modelers similar to this for crowns and things.
