ArchiCAD 9 Add-on for Artlantis R is available

Anonymous
Not applicable
The new export add-on from ArchiCAD 9 to Artlantis R is available in beta version Mac or Win in our web site:

http://www.artlantis.com/download/update/

It is compatible with ArchiCAD 9 only. As a beta version it means it is not yet finalized. You agree to use it at your own risk, although internal tests have been successful.

This add-on has been developed by Abvent, the previous ones were made by Graphisoft.

Enhancement since 4.5 add-on:

- UV map applied in ArchiCAD are now taken into account, e.g. on a multi slopes roofs, the veneer of textures keeps its original position.
- ArchiCAD objects keep now their applied textures.
- ArchiCAD default Heliodon is retrieved.
- All materials are now smoothed to zero (Use the material smoothness cursor into Artlantis on curved geometry), the goal is to avoid smoothness problem between Walls and slab with same ID material.

Help us to improve this product, so please feel free to give us your feedback.

Best Regards,

Pierre

After one quick test of a large model, I am thrilled that the new plug-in exports UV mapped surfaces correctly. No more bizarre roof textures for the imported model like we put up with in 4.5 and earlier.

I saw some things to test further, but this is off to a great start by eliminating the chief complaint about the old plug-in.

Thanks, Pierre,

OK, thanks

Now another question: why is a new login requested for the Art•Lantis web site if you are already logged in at Abvent Web site?

I'm really glad to hear that the UV-mapping problems finally got solved! This was one of my major gripes for Artlantis, back from version 3, IIRC.

No see if I can test it? Nope. My demo has expired... Sorry

Do you guys have problem converting Lights. My experience was that lamps were lost in the export process. But, with the same setting in Archicad, export using the 4.5 addon is ok!

What's wrong?

I know; but, if you are on Abvent, and click on the link to Art•Lantis, you have to log in again?

LiHight,

"Do you guys have problem converting Lights. "

Are you Windows or Macintosh user?
If Macintosh user, yes, it is right . We correct this. (It is a beta version)
If you are Windows user, check and select in Image menu/RenderPhotorealistic Options/internal Engine/Effects/Lamps On (See attachment).

Thank you, and all comments are welcome...
