CineRender Ambient lighting

Using Camera views to create images I am getting very dark north facing surfaces using the Cinerender engine. Below is the Open GL image.

It was all about increasing the Brightness setting on my external monitor. I would delete the whole thread if I could, but it is here now to show the simple solutions that are not always obvious.
