Enhancing Interior Design with AI Visualizer for Archicad

In the fast-paced world of interior design, leveraging advanced tools is essential for efficiency and creativity. Archicad users can now benefit from the AI Visualizer, a cutting-edge tool that streamlines the design process and enhances visualization capabilities.

In this article you can follow the evolution of a kitchen space, a project that involves prototyping, exploration of multiple design options, combination of several cabinet fronts and materials and different kitchen layouts. The traditional process can be time-consuming, often involving tedious iterations and lengthy cycles but with the help of AI visualizer and some smart prompts you can discover several iterations quickly. Please note that this add-on's purpose is rather helping you in the ideation phase than producing high quality images, however it's capable of creating really nice visuals.

The starting model was created using modeling and library elements. It served as a good foundation and base model for the add-on. My intention was to combine several configurations of equipment such as an oven, microwave, dishwasher, and cooktop with different color and material combinations.

With the Creativity function you can adjust how much creative freedom the AI has. Higher values result in more creative outputs but may deviate more from the input shape. Lower values maintain the shape more strictly but produce less creative results.

Step 1 - Initial model, first iteration

Prompt: "Modern black, white and wooden kitchen"

Creativity: 30%

 

Results:

You might notice that with this level of creativity, the add-on started to change the surfaces of the walls, floors, and ceilings, and also adjusted the geometry.

Step 2 - Increasing Creativity

With the increase of the Creativity to 50% you can have results which broaden your design thinking, slightly making the boundaries fade away.

Step 3 - Refining Kitchen Layout and Completing the Prompt

While I was experimenting with the different options, I decided to change the kitchen's layout by repositioning the equipments.

I realised I'd need more space for the spices, and the glasses, so I modelled a rack hanging from the ceiling and completed my prompt.

Creativity: 50%

 

Step 4 - Fine-Tuning the Design and AI Guidance

I really liked the idea of having the herbs on the wall, but I preferred keeping them on the rack, so I asked the AI to retain the model's geometry. I was curious about how this request would align with the Creativity setting I had previously configured. Besides this, I adjusted the model, added a few glasses, and changed the camera angle to examine the design from another perspective.

Prompt: "Modern kitchen with black, white and wooden cabinet fronts and a matt black glass hanging rack with LED lights and wine glass and plants at the bottom. Keep the model's geometry"

Creativity: 50%

Summary
