HEEEEEEEEEEEELP: Render Shadows

Helping a friend over Skype, and for the life of me I can't work out why these shadows are so dark...

Without going into to much detail anyone have any ideas?

Maybe use a window light (horizontal) as a fill light? It would have to be below any cut plane, I would imagine.

Your "friend" wouldn't be Technik would it?

I would try higher ambient level and lower direct sun level (if you are in ArchiCad)
