Intalled Maxwell Plug-in - Now What?

After installing the Maxwell plug-in and choosing it as the renderer it only produces a folder for materials and a log file with errors. It thought the plug-in would render in Archicad render window. I guess I need to have the actual Maxwell program installed as well?

Yep.

Install Maxwell and see if it works, before trying the ArchiCAD plugin.

When rendering to Maxwell, the ArchiCAD rendering window will appear, but the actual rendering will happen inside Maxwell Render. I believe, the final image will be displayed in the ArchiCAD Render Window, though, but I never wait for that.

Be sure to understand the workflow. It is not as integrated as the internal engine or the LightWorks rendering engine.

The Italian distributor has a few video podcasts to illustrate the workflow between ArchiCAD and Maxwell Render.

Maxwell will start automatically if you have selected the Maxwell Rendering Engine.
