Here's an odd one. I've been tweaking some custom curtain wall doors for a client and got this rendering. It's probably just a curiosity but maybe it's something to do with the material settings. I haven't tried figuring it out yet.

Hi Matthew,

Cool effect!

I would guess the glass is refracting the edge of the door making it appear thicker at the far edge. Have you tried using a glass material with less refraction, perhaps less than 1.0? Or maybe try adjusting the angle of the open door slightly?

No, I haven't had time to play around with it. Too busy forcing the custom panels and CW labels to behave (not an easy task )

The glass is an AC default. When I get the chance I'll try one of my own materials. It does strike me as kind of interesting if it can be controlled.

Matthew:

One place to look in the material settings is Reflectance > Mirror > Mirror Factor. I have found in my work that I need to change this setting depending on whether I am rendering an exterior or an interior.

And here i am thinking that your 'anomaly' is the greenish stripe on the middle third of some mullions.
Duh.
