Lightworks Sun - Sky objects

Hi,

I don't know if this two lampobjects name is Sun and Sky because I have the swedish version of AC9.
But, my problem :
When I placed this object on my plan it take light position from the sun direction, like it should.

But if I move the sun in "Perspective settings" it still be from the same direction like it be when I'm inserted the lampobject when I'm render the scene, but the objects on plan is correct.

Anyone how has a solution for this problem? Sometimes after many press at rebuild button it be right, but not always.

rebuild your 3D view from the camera with the altered sun angle.

Hi Dwight,

I should know better than that, (hence my lack of posts, plus I was one who prefered 'the old way') but I have spent untold hours trying to figure out why my Sun & Sky Objects always reset themselves to the same cr*ppy SW-ish angle....

A lifesaver (sorry, mind-saver) post...

Is there any way of forcing the sun & sky AND ALL your cameras to carry the sun direction in the same direction as dictated via 3D projection settings > More Sun, and use the time of day to force the change in movement of sun??

(If it is way too simple-minded, I accept any and all name-bashing that occurs, as I know you will oblige)

Look for with GREAT interest to the book, but unfortunately havent cut back on the smokes.. (see above)

Thanks, Alan

Are yu a Southsider or an Northsider?

It is too bad that the Swedish localization of the Sun Object won't let you make a sun angle higher than 55 degrees. And if you believe that, it is also too bad that the Australian localization has all of the objects inverted.

Remember that the sun object allows for manual sun location - perhaps you can use a trick with layer combinations to turn off and on the various different sun settings you might have with different objects???? ....

And like I'm Dan Savage or Ann Landers:

Note to fuzzythnth: you had sun problems with your marquee because you had more than one sun object in your file. I may misremember myself, but it might have been even on another storey.

Dwight,

Are you looking for a street address also, to define whether I may be a posh Northsider or dodgy Southsider and therefore oppose either stereotype?? Only kidding..

The layer combination may work very well, but just need time to bundle in with all the other trick combos I have to have!!

Thank you very much for your suggestion...
(strange to think that something causes hassle can actually work in your favour...multiple sky/sun objects)

Then again I could possibly hack a new GDL Sun Object out of it, if the GLOBs are all there and not conflicting with my current problem (hmmmm)
Obviously, thanks still goes to you for highlighting my problem and giving scope to think...

BTW In case its inferred the "SW-ish" was directed at the Swedish, in actuality its directed at those in charge who named Abu Dhabi "Abu Dhabi", thus through irony, giving the sun object a SouthWest-ish direction on Floor Plan (SW-ish) by default (in AC9INT)

That was just for some clarification...

Neither of the afore-mentioned 'orators' have made it big this far across the pond, but after a little snooping I'll snoop more, (current 'savage love' is a little eye-opening)

Thanks again for the tip Dwight..

Cheers,
Alan

Yep I remember that on the hotel job but I was recently doing a small lead flashing detail rendering where I noticed what I described.

I don't have the drawing here so I will check it tomorrow and see if I made the same mistake.

Thanks

I was hoping you'd clear up the stereotype started in "The Commitments."
