Lightworks Water

Not applicable
I dont know if anyone else has been struglling with this, but it is driving me bloody insane! Has anyone managed to get decent looking water in LW. I have tried manipulating the standard .lwa file, tried wrapped bump mapping, adding reflections, refractions, colour and I cannot get realistic looking water. If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated! Just post your images of water in renderings along with the LW settings. I will post an image of my water when I get to a stage where I am getting closer to decent images, at the moment I am a long way off!!

Cheers

Bryan

Hi dwight,

i have used the new water shader from the media library of beta 7.0

it works really fine and can make very different results

Very nice. Similar to my C4D image.
So radiosity does work the same in different softwares.

When you get to this point only the textures could change the quality, I think.

We should try vRay also.

Still missing the softness of the deceased Lightscape ...

BTW, Retirado, that amount of light is too much for around here, let alone Portugal 😉 See Dwight's rendering. That is the correct illumination, and you don't have to put lights on the floor in R 😉

yes Djordje .....it's true..

this image was made with only one light source, the sun (and a little bit of skylight)...

in art*lantis r you don't have to make those boring tricks like fakiosity

Very nice image, like it a lot. Just one thing though, what library are the "sky hooks" in that hold the handrails up? And where do you buy real ones?

I know. Sorry, I never finished the modeling for that scene. I was more anxious to use the rendering programs than do the proper modeling. 😉
