Not enough memory to create rendered image

Not applicable
Hi ppl
ok yes i've read through some posts on this dilemma but cant actually find anything in plain english about what is going on here.
Ok I'm working on the straight forward tutorials and files that ship with "Professional Rendering with lightworks for version 9 and 10" I'm working in Version 10 and doing the tutorial for "window lights" but whenever I render i get the "Not enough memory to create rendered image. (error code: 100)" error report.

Now I'm pretty sure my comp is capable of rendering this image as there are bugger-all polygons as its only a training tutorial. My specs are AMD 64 3800, 2gigs of ram, 7900 GT Nvidia graphix, running on win 2000.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

dont seem to be able to attach the file , anyway its on the cd "more on windowlights"

Just a hunch:Was AC10 certified for Win 2000?

Hi, Im not entirely sure, but seeing as Xp is win2000 with a bling GUI, im guessing this wouldnt have too much to do with it.

I've followed instructions from other threads about turning off layers but that didnt seem to do anything

Well, there are differences, typically such as graphic drivers which might be the culprit since Lightworks utilize them, I think. But I'm no expert - I'm on the Mac.

Ac10 runs very well with Win200 in my experience.

Try to render a small image and turn down some of the Photorender Settings method, reflections. Also if you have Lightworks light objects try turning off the sun, camera Light sources.

Hi maurice, yeh I reckon win 2k rocks , anyway I think my problem is solved, the renders are working now, I was loading archicad with ALL my libraries (19 of the bastards), I loaded archicad with just the default + the Australian accessories and it renders fine.

Cheers

Ok, worked out today it wasn't the libraries but the actual RAM the "Pro Render" DVD takes up when it is close to the end of a long tutorial, if you watch the RAM counter in the bottom right hand corner of Arhicad it starts around 1.5 GB of RAM and slowly works down to around 400-300 MB and is most likely the reason there isn't enough memory. Tested it the last two days on different machines.
