Rendering time

Can anyone help me setting up some basic ingredients for a reasonably good rendering in an acceptable time?

(I rendered a picture for a papersize A-3 (ca. 40 x 27 cm) and it took me a day )

By ingredients I mean: max. Polycount, reasonable DPI, sun-, undersun- and ambient settings, etc.

Seriously: what you ask for is not really possible. Post yoru results, and then we can discuss.

And ... do I really have to say this again? ... post your Archicad version, and the specs of the machine you work on. In your signature, please. So it will always be there.
