Sun Study not saving as movie file

I am using AC 23 and just discovered the sun study doesn't save as a movie file. Is anyone experiencing the same issue?

Operating system used: Windows

That is when you have set the Result as MP4?

What are you getting?

Hey Dennis,

I just tried in 23 and it works as either an MP4 or Windows Movie File

My machine is still running Windows 10 though, not sure if there is a difference with Windows 11 if you have that.

These were my settings.

Thanks Barry. My settings and WIN10 are the same as yours. When I click on save, there is nothing happening, and the saved file is empty.

Yes, and the other format also ends up with a blank file.

If you click 'Show' does it go through the motions of the sun study?

That is what it does for me when I hit 'save'.

It first asks me where I want to save the file and then goes through the motions of the study.

I am not sure what would stop it from doing this.

Maybe try a new default template with just a slab and a column (shadows turned on of course in 3D styles).

The show button goes through the movie but not when the save is clicked on. I will try a different file and let you know. Cheers Baz.

Saved file is empty...

As in 0kb? Like it is still trying to write?

That's right, yes.

Have you tried saving to a different location?
