What happened to ArtLantis in ArchiCAD 10?

Just got ArchiCAD 10, and was mostly very happy with it until I discovered I can no longer make any ArtLantis 4.5 (or any other version) files from my 3D window.

What happened, and where did my ArtLantis access go to? Was there a falling out between Abvent and Graphisoft that I am not aware of?

....and my biggest question, will this be soon be corrected by Graphisoft?
If not, I am in trouble.

Is there any chance that GS will relent and offer a patch to support 4.5 from AC10? In a sense, not supporting 4.5 is like AutoDe$k stopping support of earlier AutoCAD versions (forced upgrade model).

A number of issues drove me from AutoCAD to ArchiCAD and this was one of them. I sincerely hope that GS doesn't adopt the AutoDe$k business model! Perhaps a groundswell of support or at the least, a substantial reduction in price for the upgrade so users of 4.5 won't be punished for being long-time users of Artlantis.

It's Abvent ( the producers of Artlantis) that makes the export plugins for Archicad, not Graphisoft. You will have to ask them. And as an old-time (since 1986) user of Abvent products, I can just say Good Luck!

You would be a tard not to upgrade.
Impressive speed, radiosity and effects.

Try the new version of Artlantis. It is much better then the older generation, really.

And ask your reseller for a quote on upgrading.

While I understand your frustration, I don't see any reason for Abvent to develop plugins for the new ArchiCAD 10 to support the older generation of their own Artlantis software... They currently support ArchiCAD 10 fine, but indeed only for the newer Artlantis Render and Studio versions.
