Ivan:

I really don't think it's right for you to just take pictures of buildings and then try to pass them off as ArchiCAD models!

This is really amazing stuff. I would love to know more about how you did the vines growing up the builidng and onto the arbor.

Excellent! A number of other images on your web site are also impressive ... although it is hard to tell which ones were done with AC.

If you have several like this that were modeled in AC and haven't won the Graphisoft Design Showcase competition in the past 12 months (monthly winner receives Fuji digital camera) ... go to:
http://www.graphisoft.com/community/design_showcase/imagerequest.html
for information on how to enter! 😉

Some very nice atmospheric effects there and in your other work. In the winning entry above, there are many things to like - but the lense effect in the night image is nice. In one of the other images on your web site, I like the way you blurred one of the people in the background to suggest motion.

Thanks for sharing your work!

Ivan, these are just great! I especially love the balance of the colors, both in the rendering and in the actual design. Beautiful!

Here's two questions, because you can't just post these things and then walk away smiling!

How are you doing the bands of brick in the stucco walls? Are you stacking multiple ArchiCAD walls or are these applied somehow in the rendering program?

How are you creating those wonderful brick columns? It looks like they'd have to be assembled brick by brick! Is the mortar a massively alpha bumped texture map? How's that done?
