I had encountered this problem before
i think you use may objects from free net libs, and i think if you change
as mush as you can with AC 9 lib ,it would be better
and the far lib ,you can make it simple not detailed in 3d this will help you
to get more fast render , and to see the objects in render

I had a similar problem with this when I would try to do a sketch render over a saved image of the photorendered view. I dont know if this is the same problem, but I solved it by making sure my background image had an alpha layer and checked the box next to 'use alpha layer for transparency' in the rendering options menu. This might be a long way around an easy problem, but that was my solution.

Hope it helps

I had a pretty complex project with lots of trees and stuff...
The renderings took more than 20 min and in the end all I could see was
the gradient from the backround
Only after I`ve changed all the trees(bam 3d library) to archicad`s default tree I could see smthing of my project.

I guess Ayman`s method worked for me too..

In Size&Background panel uncheck "Usa Alpha Channel for Transparency"
That should do it.

You ran out of memory, due to the high polygon count in ArchiBAM trees.

Try ArchiTerra trees ... ONYX is also an option, but again, the polygon count is huge.

Application memory allocation ...
