presentation and photoshop

I'm working on a presentation and Im looking for some help.
I want to create this effect with plans overtop of renderings:

Putting the plan on in photoshop is easy, but I'm trying to work out how to get a decent plan to use. When you save as a .psd from archicad, there are no resolution options, and they always come out at the current zoom. I found the same if I used the publisher. How can save my plan as a higher resolution photoshop file? or even a really large scale one that could be used at 300dpi.
I remember being able to do it in AutoCAD, but its going to be a real hastle exporting as dwg, firing up my pc, and then trying to work out how to do it again in autocad.

Another thing, does anyone have any great presentation tips such as the one discussed here:

I think this is looks really great and was thinking about combining sketch and lightworks renderings in a 3D section view....

You can save your plan as a PDF file and open the PDF in Photoshop. PS will ask you what pixel dimensions you want ... and will convert the vector linework into an image with the specified size. The lines may be too thin/etc without some playing on both ends...
