Direct navigation and creation between materials, composites, surfaces, fills etc...

This would save so much time, I hope every version that it will be implemented:

Example: When you open a composite and realize that you want to create a new building material: why not from there open  "building materials editor" and create it? and from there open the "surface editor" too to create  a good surface.

Now if you want to change the surface on a composite slab you have to : open the composite, check which building material is on top. Close the dialog, open the building material editor, search for the one, see which surface it has. close the dialog. Open surface editor, find the surface, change its properties. Close the dialog. You have opened and closed 3 dialogs and browsed in each through many lists and had to remember each time which was your next target.

With direct link it would be a breeze. I don't want to refer to other programs but some have it that way and it is sooo convenient.

I partially agree with this wish that there should be a button to go to the attributes (building materials from composites, surface from building materials etc.) so we don't have to save current setting, create new attribute and then go back.

But about your text where you want to simply go to surface of a building material, you can do that already with attribute pallets.
There you can simply double click on a attribute you wish to edit and you are also able to show related attributes and open their settings as well.
