VR in ArchiCAD's 3D Window and BIMx

Support for high-end VR headsets from within ArchiCAD's 3D window would be a valuable asset during design.  VR headsets have matured over the past years, including the HTC Vive Pro 2, Meta Quest Pro, Apple Vision Pro, and many others.

Physically based rendering offered with ArchiCAD 28 can present an opportunity to make VR support available in the 3D window.  At first glance that rendering engine appears similar to Twinmotion's, which uses Unreal Engine, and which supports VR headsets.

If the rendering technologies of ArchiCAD and BIMx were to merge, VR headset support can extend to BIMx as well.

Absolutely, we need VR support at least to BIMx viewer.

We need both options. We have Meta Quest connected to WindowsPC using OculusLink (USB or WIFI) - we would appreciate both options:

1) quick model preview in VR directly from Archicad 3D window (in the same way as Twinmotion support it)

2) user model preview in VR from Windows BimX application

There are many paths towards achieving VR capability for ArchiCAD projects.

The preferred path for Graphisoft, in my opinion, is to develop the VR-capability natively in ArchiCAD and BIMx.   The ability to edit the project directly from within the VR system would be a big advantage.

Another path is to develop add-ons that communicate with third-party VR-model viewing applications like Arkio, Bimxplorer and others.
