Wishlist

I would like to be able to save a set of favorites (2D and 3D viewpoints) in a BIMx model published on the BIMx Model Transfer site, and opened on one device, then sync that model and be able to access those favorites on another device later, after another sync.

Currently the favorites only remain local and cannot be transferred.
This would greatly help with the presentation preparation process.

As we are finally approaching the days of the revamped licensing methods and the direct contact with Graphisoft regarding our licenses, we have some requests towards the dashboard where we can overview our licenses:

On the View by products tab we would love to see in the list the following entries (too):

• Our active licence packages and their due-dates (expiration and/or renewal dates)
• The prices of our current packages and the due dates of the upcoming payments, and the expected cost amount
• The usage metrics of our licenses. Eg. in a diagram where we can visually see how well utilized is our licenses with the possibility to roll back the time stamp and see it's usage metrics in a given time frame.

We would like to request a new feature for BIMx applications (all platforms) and BIMcloud integration:

Current Situation:

• Sending annotations ("markups") from BIMx apps to a BIMcloud project currently requires sending to other users (why?????).

• It is not possible to send annotations to oneself (i.e., the same user who created them) within the BIMcloud / Archicad project.

• This limitation complicates workflows where users want to directly transfer their own on-site annotations back to the project for later processing without manual export/import.

• This is a very frequent use case: an engineer or architect goes to the site with an iPad, creates photos, drawings, and annotations, and wants to see these annotations in Archicad immediately afterwards without involving other colleagues.

Requested Feature:

• Enable users to send annotations from any BIMx app (iOS, Android, desktop) to their own user/project in BIMcloud and Archicad seamlessly.

• Annotations should be imported immediately and automatically into Archicad’s annotation table without unnecessary messages or user interaction.

• If any error occurs during annotation transfer (e.g., missing privileges in BIMcloud role), the user must be clearly notified that the annotations were not transferred.

• The system should properly handle user permissions to support this workflow.

Benefits:

• Streamlines the annotation workflow for individual users working on-site and transferring information back to BIMcloud projects.

• Eliminates the need for manual export and import of BCF files as a workaround.

• Improves user experience by making annotation transfer effortless and fast.

Critical flexibility is needed for “BYO License” on BIMcloud SaaS

I post this wish after @SeaGeoff outlines how & why BYO License is not working as we need to to work in his comment about this feature of BIMcloud SaaS.

This is a critical issue with the current setup of “BYO License” on BIMcloud SaaS that is extremely limiting our ability to deliver service to our various clients.

A limitation we never had on BIMcloud with WIBU Keys & even Soft Licenses.

Graphisoft, please make the “BYO License” feature on BIMcloud SaaS to enable us total freedom to join multiple BIMcloud SaaSs, BIMcloud On-Premise & BIMcloud Basic, without the hassle & loss of productivity that is forced on us by your current BIMcloud & Cloud Licensing works currently?

Since BIMx is basically prerendered scene, it would be nice that mirror like materials would show real reflections of the model.

Use case:

As an Architect...

I want to publish the text part of the documentation into BIMx in an automated workflow without necessity to check relations after chante in text part...

so that everyone can access the complete documentation without errors effortlessly.

Problem:

The text part of the documentation is typically processed in MS Word and exported as a PDF. While there are ways to load specific pages or all pages into an Archicad drawing—such as automatically placing each PDF page into a separate drawing—this workflow has a major drawback.

Whenever a change is made in Word, pagination can shift, new pages may appear, and existing ones may be removed. This requires the user to manually check the number of pages in the updated PDF and then adjust the corresponding drawings in Archicad—either by adding a new drawing for a new page or deleting one for a removed page. This is not an automated process and unnecessarily consumes time and attention.

Request:

Developers, please implement an automated solution that eliminates the need for users to manually track pagination changes. Let us focus on complex tasks instead of wasting time on trivial ones.

Hello, it would be great if you would take into account the possibility of porting the BIMx application, as done on Apple Vision Pro, also to Meta's Quest products, this will permit us, in particular to Windows users, to have a greater and surely most affordable choice, to use VR with our BIM model.

Support for high-end VR headsets from within ArchiCAD's 3D window would be a valuable asset during design.  VR headsets have matured over the past years, including the HTC Vive Pro 2, Meta Quest Pro, Apple Vision Pro, and many others.

Physically based rendering offered with ArchiCAD 28 can present an opportunity to make VR support available in the 3D window.  At first glance that rendering engine appears similar to Twinmotion's, which uses Unreal Engine, and which supports VR headsets.

If the rendering technologies of ArchiCAD and BIMx were to merge, VR headset support can extend to BIMx as well.

As it says in the title...

Don't know if it's on the route, but I miss BIMx to be open to another type of files.

Example: Our architecture files come from archicad, but mep files come from revit, and another complex geometry comes from blender/rhino... If there is not an archicad file with all this files together, there is no way to have them all in the BIMx to share with the client...

You can add differents files to Autodesk viewer (really easy). In this case, you only need a link to visualize everywhere, mobile included, without having to download apps. This is important to some clients.

In the roadmap I haven't found anything like this wish, don't know if it's something about it. But I think that BIMx should be the CDE viewer of files hosted in Bimcloud SaaS, like Autodesk solution if Graphisoft like to reach them.

In the past 20+ years using ArchiCAD I always missed some functions that would make basic drafting easier. One of them is drafting out an ellipse in axonometry. Most often it is easy to determine 4 points along the horizontal and vertical axes and their tangents. Problem is that there is no easy way to get the ellipse from here. I feel that an expensive CAD program like ArchiCAD should have a geometry method that takes it from here and I don't have to dig out my old descriptive geometry text book or start drafting all sorts of construction lines. So what I need is a geometry method where I define the centerpoint, 2 points of the arc and their tangents. That should be enough for a software to compute the rest. Or a geometry method where I define the bounding parallelogram.

I think it would be very useful, to be able to send messages through BIMx from the web viewer and from the desktop app as well like in the mobil app for smartphones and tablets.

I am working on a residential project and the general contractor is using BIMx on his iPad in the field.  It's been useful with one exception: he is unable to use the Smart Measuring Tool for precise measurements in 2D.  I tested this and reached out to my Graphisoft reseller to confirm the measuring tool does not snap to points in 2D.  The model and views come from a single source - allowing precise measurements in all views in addition to the model, would be extremely helpful.

Hi, it would be great if it would be possible to show in the info of a MEP element selected in the BIMx model the geometrical data (diameter, height, length, width, insulating thickness, etc). At the moment it is possible only to get the information about the MEP System of the selected element.
