Cutplanes in BIMx, not linked to plans, sections, or elevations

If the BIMx is published as Hypermodel, and has some section sheets included, a section can be used to move the vertical cutplane.

However, if it is published as a model, without any included layouts, there is no way to generate a vertical cutplane. All the other BIM viewers have this option, and most of them define the vertical cutplane by clicking on an existing vertical face.

Some also have an option to generate an angled cutplane, or a cutbox, that can show the model outside, or inside, the box.

Thanks for submitting this wish. I'm happy to let you know we started working on a new BIMx feature to change the cut plane position even if there is no layout in the Hyper-model.

We just released Customizable Cut Plane for BIMx Mobile and Desktop today. A section/elevation drawing is no longer required for a vertical 3D cut.
Please give it a try, and let us know what you think on the BIMx Forum or by emailing us at bimx@graphisoft.com. We welcome any feedback.
