I would set the zone stamp to another pen number that is not turned gray in your RCP pen set. You have plenty of unused pens as I see.

I think I understand now: I was thinking legend (object), and you were speaking of keynotes (labels). In that case it seems that this is a broader topic: the need of a fixed width Text / Autotext label. That totally makes sense!
