Interconnected Keynotes

Thomas Nymann

Hi GS.

I would really wish for the New and effective Keynote Ssytem to becom more integrated/interconnected with the rest of the AC databases.

As for now, the Keynote system, can be seen as its own system, within the system, a solitary database, in the  Archicad project.

It would be soooo sweet if the Keynotes could somehow be linked e.g to Composites. As both can be used describe the buidling parts within the project...

In another BIM program (starting with R...) Keynotes are linked to "Types", which means that all walls of the same type, will automatically have the same keynote! - Now this keeps from accidently adding different Keynotes to the same Building parts, and saves you a lot time doing QA.

From that perspective it seems naturally to link the keynotes with e.g Composites as in this fictive example:

Hi Thomas,

I truly believe this would make keynotes much more interesting and relevant. Somehow I feel that keynotes are useless since they're not model driven. I'm not sure you know how revit keynotes work but you also have the option to use a css as an external data source.

My proposal - https://community.graphisoft.com/t5/Wishlist/Table-Based-Properties-with-External-Data-Support/idi-p... - is meant to address this problem in a different way please have a look.

An extra step for this would be linking a keynote to an objects parameters. i.e. description
