Keynote paragraph width pre setting

I’m not sure if this feature is available, but I would like the ability to preset the width for descriptions in the keynote tool. Depending on the scale, I often add detailed descriptions to the keynotes, which can be quite lengthy. After placing the note, I have to zoom out to manually adjust the width, and it’s difficult to make them all uniform.

If anyone has a TIP to streamline this process, I’d appreciate it. Otherwise, I think this would be a useful addition to a wish list.

Update: I still believe that having the ability to preset the width would be useful.

Workaround: In the meantime, I’ve been manually entering the value for the text width while typing. Although this requires extra steps, it’s the best way to ensure the levels display as I want them to.

You can. Grab the legend's right corner (either upper or lower), select the 4-way cross on the pet palette, and drag it to the size you wish.

Thank you for your input. Yes, this is the manual and somewhat tedious way to do it, but it’s not too difficult, as it only requires 2 to 4 additional steps. It’s much easier if you’re using the DET_DETAILER_TEMPLATE 27, as it provides the necessary detail space for your layout. Unfortunately, this library was dropped from AC 28 with the Global Library, and I wish it could be brought back into the default library.

This is why I posted this on the wish list, hoping it will be considered for the future.

I think I understand now: I was thinking legend (object), and you were speaking of keynotes (labels). In that case it seems that this is a broader topic: the need of a fixed width Text / Autotext label. That totally makes sense!
