Problem: Increase number of steps/slower workflow because we cannot change layer visibility on/off or lock/unlock within the Element Settings or Info Box.
Workflow example: I have a beam, I want to change its layer, I either move cursor over to the Info Box and pick the layer or I open the Element Settings Dialogue Box and pick the layer. If the layer visibility is "off" or the layer is "locked" I now have to go the extra step to close the Element Settings Dialogue, then open the Layers Dialogue Box and find the layer and turn it on to see the beam or find and unlock the layer to now modify the element settings of the beam or move the beam etc.. If I can just toggle the layer on/off/unlock/lock in the Element Settings Dialogue Box or in the dropdown from the Info Box, I skip the extra step of the Layer Dialogue Box to either change the beam to a locked layer or see the beam element after the layer assignment change. I see this happen again and again in our workflow and it slows us down each time and that is very frustrating/wastes time/wastes money. Please fix this!
As always, if another community member or Graphisoft rep can explain a workaround or something I am missing, please reply. Thanks!
