Make it possible to send a step of a stair to front/back individually

It is impossible to show the part of a stair that's above the slab, but hide the part that is underneath it.
If you could choose to send the steps to front/back individually this would be solved.

I am not sure I follow.

Do you want to hide that top tread on the stair?

There is already an option to do this in the stair settings.

Is this what you want?

@Freya,

If you perform a Subtraction SEO with the Stair as Target and the Slab as Operator, it will give you the result that you wish to achieve, doesn't it?

But you would like this to happen automatically? Sort of like priority-based connections?

@Barry Kelly, that's not what I meant. I want to see the top tread, but not the first step at the bottom because this step is hidden underneath the slab.

@Laszlo Nagy  Performing a SEO with the stair as target isn't the solution as well.

I may have been unclear but I'm talking about the floor plan.

I want to have this result but without using fills:

Ahh, you don't want to see the lower treads because of the upper slab covering them.

Have you tried turning on the cover fill in the upper slab settings?

It can be an empty fill with a white background or a screen colour pen as i show here.

Or a solid will with a white foreground pen.

White will not print.

And technically your top tread should not be showing as the landing is the tread.

That is what I thought you were referring to.

@Barry Kelly
I do want the top tread showing because it's a different material than the slab, like you see in 3D.

I gave the slab a fill, but that hides the top tread as well. The issue is that I want to hide the bottom tread because it's underneath the slab but show the top tread.
