When placing a note linked with a placed element, in the selection settings dialogue you have the option to hide with associated element. But if you try to click on the upper half of the layer drop down below it you will find that instead of opening the layer drop down, it selects or deselects the "hide with..." checkbox above. Very small and very annoying issue. Hopefully very fixable.
