So from an Architectural Point of View and also from a Product improvement approach,
Finch seems to make a more welcoming, expected, needed feature than Graphisoft did with 28 and 29 in matters of AI intergration.
This is just an announcement from Finch. I have been always in favor of addons for Archicad because this is a parallel way of evolving the software by giving developers and users the right and the option to add new capabilities and functionalities. I support developers and companies who invest time, energy and money to make Archicad better and more productive to work with.
My concern here is the fact that an addon becomes more interesting and adds more innovation than a complete new released version of a whole software package. This makes me happy and disappointed at the same time.
Since the integration of Design Options we are presented features like line arrows or keynotes colors, or schedules formatting and nothing that could have been a core upgrade that distinguishes Archicad from other programs. Finch did it first for Revit and fortunately they are adding this to Archicad also.
The latest versions of AI functionality still feel like they are in beta stage with a lot work left to be done and more importantly they are not exactly a part of the real architectural design workflow but something like parallel supporting tools.
I am not trying to complain here but I am just expressing my agony about what can we expect in the future that will really makes us feel us , as Archicad users, special!

FYI: The Graphisoft Roadmap was updated a few days ago, and there are quite a few new items for the AI Assistant, both in the Under Research and Coming Soon categories:
Monday
This is pretty much what I meant when I said there are much better implementations for the use and integration of AI in archicad and architecture that Graphisoft could have pursued, instead of the path they chose to go instead with their AI Visualizer and now the AI Assistant (glorfied search).
Graphisoft saw AI and thought to themselves,..... "Make pretty pictures fast" and "Better ( Read : Glorified) Find and Replace"
The Finch guys (whom I cited and mentioned in that list of better AI uses in architecture I earlier brought up) saw AI and thought, "Generative Design & investigative tool to help architects explore and design options faster and more robustly"
One of those two makes me a better architect and designer and helps me work better and design better.
The other one(s) help Graphisoft sell more licenses and Subscriptions.
That's the difference.
That and the fact that the people behind Finch are actual, and currently practicing architects who do architecture for a living.
But then that's not going to look slick or 'cool' on a promotional brochure or pamphlet like AI Visualizer images will nor help them self licenses.
So here we are.
And the fact that AI Assistant and AI visualizer and Aurora stuff are now suddenly magically appearing in the Roadmap making it seem like they were there all along or were things that people were asking for (any ETA on when they appear on the Wishlist sections to make the sleight of hand complete?) when they weren't before (or when things that WERE there and had been bumped there by virtue of being voted on by majority users, suddenly also disappeared and no longer appear there,.....while other highly requested items in the Wishlist section are one-by-one falling into the "ON HOLD" well) is just more disingenuous d***king around of their customers by Graphisoft.
