Cloud-hosted AI Visualizer in Archicad 28

We are excited to introduce a cloud-hosted AI Visualizer in Archicad 28, powered by Stable Diffusion.

AI Visualizer boosts your workflow in the early design phase: based on the initial concept and prompt, it generates design alternatives, adding details, context, and fresh ideas. This new version of AI Visualizer will be available to you with an Archicad Collaborate or Education license.

Your enthusiastic feedback while testing the experimental desktop AI Visualizer for Archicad 27 reinforced our decision to take the next step - the new AI Visualizer for Archicad 28 runs entirely in the cloud. Please note that after December 31 2024, the locally running, experimental desktop version of AI Visualizer for Archicad 27 will reach its End of Service.

What this means for you: 

• AI Visualizer becomes fully cloud-based: The new AI Visualizer for Archicad 28 offers new functionalities and improvements, such as the ability to control Creativity and Image Size, and to Upscale Image for sharing with clients. It runs in the cloud, meaning there’s no need for complex installation procedures or powerful hardware. This is a huge step forward in delivering solutions that are easy to use and integrate into the design workflow.
• Support and maintenance: The final update of the locally running experimental desktop AI Visualizer for Archicad 27 is already available, and all current download links and the related Community portal will remain available until December 31, 2024. This is the last update – no further updates are planned after this release. After the End of Service date, all download links will be inaccessible, and the Community portal of the experimental AI Visualizer for Archicad 27 will become read-only. You can keep the previously downloaded, locally running, experimental version of the AI Visualizer for Archicad 27 as-is.

I'm sorry, everyone knows that I am Archicad through and through but to limit the new cloud based AI visualiser to Collaborate and Edu only is a terrible move. It should be included with the perpetual licenses with an active SSA/FWD subscription too.

I think so too, seeing as there is only 2 more versions (years) of perpetual license.

But I guess it is just another incentive to make people want to switch to collaborate subscription.

Unless it really does need a BIM SaaS license to run.

If AI Visualizer were made available to students, it could also be made available to perpetual license users because students don't pay for while SSA/Forward users used to pay for receiving benefits back within that plan. There appears to be an ethical and even a legal dilemma on this issue.

You said that users should keep their SSA/FWD subscriptions up to date. Users paid for it and now you are not giving these users a feature that you give them even in student licenses. This is really brutal.

So if Viny's student license is not working, has anyone with a subscription or student license actually managed to run AI Visulaiser in 28?

I too can't run it, but I do not have a subscription or student license.

Hello Barry,

So I had downloaded 2027 and later downloaded 2028 without asking for an update on my license profile. I tried the key and was all working but AI was still asking for license. 

I then uninstalled everything, downloaded again the 28 after asking for an update! AI is working now.
