How to place a object tool in Layout?

Hi guys,

I had a Object loaded into ArchiCAD, I was trying to get that  Object and place it in a defined layout using ArchiCAD API C++. But I still haven't found a way to do it. Do you know any way to get that Object and put it in the layout?
can you help me?

any reason placing it from the object tool isn't working? why resort to c++ for something that should be pretty simple
