Python scripts have limited access to Element quantities, at present. However, through the use of a AddOn, any of the Examples in the Archicad Development API can also be made available to Python Scripts.
I demo this by adding the three quantity functions developed in the Element_Test example under the Snippets Tab.

Quantity access
The new Python functions are identical to those in Element_Test. If you are interested or in need of any other functions as demoed in the C++ APi, comment below and Ill see if it is feasible. With this route, I believe Graphisoft could add quite a bit of the capability of the Examples to Python Scripts and, at least, parallel that of the examples. IF NOT, we can do much ourselves. I would like to see some confirmation -- How about you?
