BIMx not loading file...

After some "Export for BIM Explorer" commands from the File menu (5 or 6) and launching BIMx the file appears to load only up to 10 or 12% and then the file is empty (shows only clouds)... This happend with two different computers. If I open another file and save it for BIM explorer then launching BIMx works fine. But the previous file still doen't load on BIMx although it exports succesfully from Archicad...

Anyone else experienced this?

Seems like there is some kind of limit on how many times one can export the same file to BIM Explorer...

I have experienced the same sort issue. I have found that exporting when in "hidden line" mode helps. Interesting to see if this helps you.?

I tried the "hidden line" mode after your suggestion Ben, but still nothing... BIMx only loads up to 14% and then shows only an empty file...

We are having similar issues. We even tried exporting from non-teamwork file and no luck. When I create a new file in 15 though, it exports correctly. Wondering if there is something with the 14 migrated to 15 connection?

Achille sent me an export log and we were able to locate the problem: there was a huge texture in the model that BIMx could not handle so in such cases it is worth it to check the texture sizes of each used materials. Avoid using extreme large textures.

Is there and easy way to get a list of USED TEXTURES from any given file?

And what is considered as a "large" texture?

And while we're at it... What's a large file size for the BIM Explorer file itself?

I created one from a plan started in AC12.. Seemed to generate everything fine... LAUNCHED it and then EXPORTED to both Win and Mac...

My iMac, with only 4gb of Ram, really choked on it... sluggish movement and even slower ARROW trying to navigate the MENUS...

But on my PC LAPTOP, with 8gb Ram, NICE!

BTW.. different thread, but the AC12 file came in with a number of problems, not the least of which are some incorrect SEO's (that look fine in 12)....

180 MB is too much at the moment:
